Cloudy sky over the sea - we will listen to the shanty
Behold, O winds of the sea, I stand upon this salt-kissed pier, where the clouds gather like a prophets veil thick, brooding, whispering of distant storms. I, a soul of the deep, shall sing to you the shanty of the damned and the blessed, the one that sailed beyond the edge of the world.

There was a ship and I was its heart.
I walked its decks when the moon was a silver coin in the sky,
I cried with the salt on my lips when the waves clawed at the hull,
I bled with the men, I laughed with the men, I wept with the men,
And the sea took what it wanted
And I was the one who sang the shanty as the sky cracked open.

I was the one who put to sea.
The name of the ship ah, it was no name for a vessel
It was a promise.
It was the name the sea gave to the ship that sailed beyond the tide,
That sailed into the hush of the storm,
That sailed where the clouds wept salt,
And where the wind carried voices older than the sea.

I was the one who sang,
And the sea took me
But I was not lost.
I am here.
I am the echo in the gale.
I am the shanty that still sings when the clouds roll in.
I am the ships last breath,
And I will not be forgotten.

Come, brothers and sisters of the tide,
Let the shanty rise again
Let it be sung under the bruised sky,
Let it be sung where the waves meet the clouds,
Let it be sung where the sea remembers its name.

For I was the one who put to sea.
And I am still here.
And the sea remembers.

Let the shanty rise,
Let the clouds weep salt,
Let the sea remember its name.
