Yo, this ain't just a calendar its a crimson promise, a war paint on my wall for the whole damn year. 2014? Nah, thats just the year the helmets gonna stare back at me, that Spartan-ass skull screaming Im always here, even when youre too busy living to look up. I found it hanging like a ghost in the corner, waiting for its moment to be the centerpiece of my boredom. Im not sure where it came from, but I know this much: its gonna be my silent partner through all the lazy Sundays and the sudden urges to chase the open road. Im not gonna hang it up. Im gonna let it watch me. Let it be the only thing that remembers my plans when I forget them.
