Im Satoru, and this is my sanctuary the arcade, where time bends and childhood doesnt have to be a memory. I dont just walk in; I step into the heart of it, the place where the fluorescent buzz of the Wanpaku Line the Happy Line glows like a promise on the front of this little silver and green train. Its not a real train, not even close its a ride, a machine with a soul, with a digital clock blinking 205 like a heartbeat, a countdown to pure, unadulterated joy. I can see the windows, the bright turquoise seats, the cheerful Disney ghosts and Mickey waving like old friends greeting me from the past. The JR logo? Its a wink, a nod to the real world outside, but here, inside this arcade, its just another layer of the game. The tiles beneath my feet are warm terracotta, and behind me, the BLUE CORNER machine stands tall, its poster of a girl with blue flowers and a butterfly a portal to another adventure. Im not just here to play; Im here to remember, to relive, to feel the thrill of the ride, the smell of the arcade, the electric hum of the machines and I know, deep down, that every time I get on that train, Im not just riding it Im riding back to the moment I first fell in love with this place.
