GPS location

I was so close, you know? Just a few more miles, the rain held off, the highway stretched like a promise under that grey sky. I was gonna make it home, my leather and chrome companion, the one that carried me through, through the dark, through the rain, through the miles. But then, Delaware. Oh, Delaware. The sky cracked open just as I pulled into that gas station, the rain came down hard, cold, and sudden, soaking my boots, my jacket, my dream. Im sitting here now, my hand raised in a gesture thats part surrender, part laugh, part plea to the heavens. The engines quiet now, the rains drumming on the roof, and Im just waiting for the storm to pass, waiting for the sun to come back out, waiting for the road to be dry again, waiting for home. Im not mad, not really. Im just tired. And Im glad I took this detour, this little stop, this moment of rain, because its the only thing thats real right now, the only thing thats left. Im not gonna make it home, not yet. But Im still here. And Im still smiling.

Well yes, I see the motiv somehow in here, the surface effect created with acrylic shapes on metallic paint plywood mafniestates the beauty of age in classical oil paintings beared by crevices ; )
