What coat to buy on autumn exit? Better a short or long coat?

Recently, my close friend bought a lovely coat! Every day as we go out for walks envy her this coat! She told me she bought a coat in the Polish shop. However, do not remember what! Do not tell me, because I know that I will look just as great! Maybe it's better...
P.S. When the coat is hanging on a hanger to see the price tag and I'll know where it is! Then ordering the same! Great idea!
